Carrying with them a pledge by which representatives of each community would affirm their commitment to the UN Human Rights Declaration, the Multathletes were greeted by Japanese children at the Hingashi Buddhist Temple in Little Tokyo (right) and by Chinese community residents under the archway at Chinatown Plaza (above).
