L.A. Volunteers Respond to Forest Fire Catastrophes
Scientology Volunteer Ministers in Los Angeles are known to answer the call of help in natural and man-made disasters no matter where they occur.
In September 2001, L.A. volunteers went to “Ground Zero” in Manhattan to join the around-the-clock relief efforts following the terrorist bombing of the World Trade Center. (See cover story, Los Angeles Freedom Volume 5, Issue 1.)
In early summer 2002,
a team of LA Volunteer Ministers responded to the worst wildfire in the history of Colorado. They backed up their fellow volunteers in that state in relief efforts for
firefighters combatting the Hayman blaze and helped evacuees driven from their homes.
Likewise, another team of Scientology Volunteer Ministers from Los Angeles joined relief efforts in eastern Arizona in the battle against the massive Show Low fire.
More recently, they have been concentrating their efforts closer to home, in the efforts to battle wild fires in Southern California.
