The safety and well-being of our communities depend upon their members.
And while almost everyone would like to be involved in their community in some way, many do not know what to do, or how to do it.
Thus community leaders are also sometimes at a loss to find effective community assistance programs.
Serving the Community and its Needs, a brochure produced by the Church of Scientology International, offers solutions.
The publication is a guidebook to community action. It contains information on the many different projects organized or sponsored by Churches of Scientology, and descriptions and references for internationally renowned literacy and drug and criminal rehabilitation programs supported by the Churches.
The guidebook can help community members to set up a neighborhood watch, establish a volunteer tutoring program, improve the environment, revitalize a neighborhood and moreand to locate others already working in such fields.
Serving the Community and its Needsis also published in Spanish, French, German and Italian, with references tailored for European countries.
The publication is available at no charge.
